VECTERRA SPATIAL ANALYTICS

The forests are changing. The data should keep up.

Automated interpretation for the forest inventory data that feeds Canada's climate, biodiversity, and sustainable forest management reporting obligations — at the speed of satellite data.

  • Predictive Modeling

Built to standard, not adapted to it.

Inventory-conformant outputs by design — not generic AI imagery analysis requiring specialist post-processing.

  • Deforestation Monitoring

    The bottleneck is structural.

Manual interpretation is a hard ceiling on the cadence of data that sovereign climate and biodiversity reporting depends on. This is infrastructure relief, not a productivity tool.

  • Change Detection

Three sensors where others use one.

Optical, LiDAR, and SAR combined. Cloud-penetrating. Three-dimensional. More accurate and more robust than any single-modality approach.

  • Habitat Analysis

    Inside knowledge, outside the program.

Founded by a former NFI remote sensing analyst. The system is designed by someone who knows exactly what the data needs to look like.

  • Forest Inventory

    One platform, many markets.

Forest inventory today. Wildfire monitoring, carbon verification, and civil infrastructure monitoring on the same technical foundation.

Technical Scope

Vecterra Spatial Analytics is developing an automated forest inventory interpretation system that produces standards-conformant outputs from multi-sensor satellite and aerial data. We are targeting Canadian federal and provincial inventory programs and B2B partners in the private forest sector with interests in national forest inventories.

The data produced by national forest inventory programs underpins reporting to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the FAO Global Forest Resources Assessment, and the Convention on Biological Diversity — obligations shared by governments worldwide. Vecterra exists to remove the manual interpretation bottleneck that limits the cadence, granularity, and cost-effectiveness of that foundational data layer.

We are currently in active development, with a production system targeted for late 2026, and are engaging with federal funding programs and academic partners.

The same multi-sensor processing infrastructure that powers forest inventory interpretation has direct applications in wildfire monitoring, carbon market verification, and longer-horizon civil infrastructure monitoring.
